2022 MATCH OFFICIAL COURSES -Now Open

Ontario Soccer will be hosting all 2022 Match Official courses online.  

The GTYSC is looking for Small Sided and Entry Level Match Officials for the 2022 season.
- Small Sided Match Officials must be 12 years of age by March 31, 2022.
- Entry Level Match Officials must be 14 years of age by March 31, 2022.

Small Sided

 

In order to be eligible to participate in the 2022 Small Sided Clinic, an individual must be at least 12 years of age, and not older than 13 years of age, on or before March 31, 2022.


Participants of this clinic will become accredited with Ontario Soccer (OS) as Small Sided Match Officials and will be qualified to officiate 7v7 matches within the guidelines. 

Ontario Soccer sanctioned Laws of the Small Sided Game are the laws and guidelines that the participants will be taught and use when officiating 7v7 matches.  At the conclusion of this clinic, participants are required to complete and pass an on-line examination on the material covered over the duration of the clinic and complete an outdoor clinic to become accredited.


The Small Sided Clinic takes approximately eight hours online not including a webinar (2hrs), a final online exam (1hr) and an outdoor clinic (3hrs).  The clinic is comprised of 10 modules with videos and questions.  Students must get 100% on the module questions to move on to the next module. The cost per participant for the clinic in 2022 is $110.00.  Please contact the GTYSC if you are interested in this course for further registration instructions.


Match Officials that register as Grimsby Town Youth Soccer Club referees will be reimbursed their clinic fees if 10 games are officiated during the current season.  Referee uniforms will also be provided at no additional cost to new Match Officials.

 

Entry Level

 

In order to be eligible to participate in the 2022 Entry Level Clinic, an individual must be at least 14 years of age on or before March 31, 2022.


Participants of this clinic will become accredited Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) Entry Level Match Officials; either Youth Match Officials (if under the age of 16) or District Match Officials (if over the age of 16).  Entry Level Match Officials will be qualified to officiate 7v7, 9v9 and/or 11v11 matches within the guidelines. 


The Entry Level Clinic focuses on practical training and the application of the FIFA Laws of the Game.  At the conclusion of this clinic, participants are required to complete and pass an on-line examination on the material covered over the duration of the clinic and complete an outdoor clinic to become accredited.


The Entry Level Clinic takes approximately eight hours online not including a webinar (2hrs), a final online exam (1hr) and an outdoor clinic (3hrs).  The clinic is comprised of 9 modules with videos and questions.  Students must get 100% on the module questions to move on to the next module.  The cost per participant for the clinic in 2021 is $135.00.  Please contact the GTYSC if you are interested in this course for further registration instructions.
