2021 Summer Soccer Registration Is Now Open!!

Please register players that are intending to play soccer in 2021.  At this time, we will not be collecting fees. When you register, you will receive an email with a link to payment.  Please save this email until the GTYSC advises that payment is due.

*Please note: Only players that tried out for a GTYSC 2020 travel team and were offered a place should register for a 2021 travel team. Players interested in possible open travel team spaces for the 2021 season should contact team coaches directly.  A directory of youth travel coaches can be found on the Division tab or by clicking the following link: Travel Soccer

Depending on Niagara Public Health guidelines and restrictions, a 2021 soccer season will depend on the following key factors:

-       Return to Play Phase and Zone for youth and adult players

-       Number of players and teams in divisions

-       League structure and format of play

-       Availability of fields

We are hoping to be able to start the 2021 soccer season by June, but cannot guarantee a start or end date at this time.  If possible, we would like to schedule divisions on the usual days of the week, at the usual times (as posted on our registration pages), but we cannot guarantee any scheduling until we know what stage of Ontario’s Return to Play we will be in, how many players are returning, how soccer will be structured this season and what COVID protocols must be in place.  We are planning to have this information confirmed before payment is required so families can make informed decisions.

Please note the following:

-The Club is desperately in need of volunteers to run the 2021 season.  We are still looking for House League Convenor(s), Sponsorship & Equipment Coordinator(s) and a Secretary to help run the season. Without volunteers, we may not be able to run all of our divisions. Please email [email protected] if you can help.

-Until players are fully registered (with fees paid), all soccer activities are on hold (including training, competitions, evaluations, team building activities, etc.).  Players and coaches are not insured until registration is confirmed with Ontario Soccer, team rosters have been issued and the Town of Grimsby fields are opened.

-Match Official training will be conducted online by Ontario Soccer.  Please email the Club at [email protected] if you are interested in being a Match Official in 2021 so we can add your contact details to a group email list.  Potential Match Officials must be 12 years of age by March 31, 2021 to participate.  These are paid positions.

-We are always looking for volunteer Soccer School and House League Coaches.  Applications and information can be found on the Coaches menu.

-We are also looking for Travel Coaches for the following divisions:  U8 (2013) Girls, U10 (2011) Boys and U15 (2006) Boys. Applications and information can be found on the Coaches menu.

The GTYSC is in regular communication with the Niagara Soccer Association, Ontario Soccer, the Town of Grimsby and Niagara Public Health with regards to the latest COVID-19 information and updates. We understand any concerns you may have because they are our concerns as well.  We will continue to comply and abide by the standards our governing bodies put forth and the GTYSC will move forward when we are advised its safe to proceed. Please remember that we run the GTYSC for our players.  Every decision we make is with our players’ best interest in mind.  When we have new information, we will send it out via email and/or post it.

We hope to see all of our players, Coaches, Match Officials and supporters back in 2021.  Thank you for your support of our Club and please remember to also support our generous sponsors during these challenging times.  A list of sponsors can be found on our home page or by clicking the following link: GTYSC Sponsors
